500+ downloads so far of Pork ‘n’ Bunny apps! Looking at 90 a day territory now wholly due to the success of /b/tard.

Looking at about 14k users by the end of the year!

Some lessons learned:

Search

The subway app is getting no downloads because people cannot find our app buried under all the transport related apps with the same search term although completely irrelevant.

Quality Releases

Don’t release unless you think you will attract 5* ratings. The those ratings stick even if you address the problems users point out.

Version Control

Even for small projects like mobile apps, and you need version control so that when bugs are reported, you can quickly refer to the exact lines of code that reports are raised against and fix quickly.

Speed

Making the user feel like they have a premium phone despite it being low-end is hugely appreciated. Conversely making the user feel like they have a budget phone when they have a premium phone will bring raining hot fury on your ratings.
