Leverage
/b/tard and sirisays both got updates this week to their user interface. A more consistant look and feel in line with Ice Cream Sandwhich.
This was made possible by the great work by Jake Wharton on ActionBarSherlock.
Under the bonnet both apps are now using caches to reduce the memory usage to barely what is seen on screen and nothing more.
The third update might be unwelcome by some but both have AdMob integration. And in future AdWhirl and other networks. Honestly, this is my full time job now and I’m not getting enough money to pay for the pizza it costs to develop these apps yet!
So these are three examples of developing once and leveraging against a growing portfolio. You’ll see more shared technology in our apps as new apps roll along. And when new apps launch they should come out of the stable with the best technology.
